Hi,
I have a question regarding dependants. I have a L1A Visa. I am going on a long trip to UK next month. Can my dependants stay back for 2 -3 months before joining me in UK. Their L 2 Visa and I 94 are valid till Feb 2009.

Forget about justice. There is only business. The logic is very simple:
Current Situation: You target some perceived very deep pockets customers and try to sell yourself to them, but now you realize that they are just some idiots;
What are the alternatives: You can continue to push/educate these idoits, or try to sell your self to somebody else. You may make less profit up front, but if you truely have something, you might be able to make more out of it in the long run;
What if everything fails: No matter how good your product is, if you are unable to sell it, regardless if it is because your stupidity or your clients/potential clients' stupidity, as long as you didn't captalize it, your product worth nothing.
The bottom line: when a business fails, nobody thinks/cares about how good your product is, on the contray, everything thinks you are an idoit that makes a product that doesn't sell.
What you can do at least: Wake up and forget about justice, there is none.

I filed my I485 on 31 July 2007.
I have not seen any action on my case. no checks encashed, no ead , no ap ...nothing.

I just spoke with Xiyun Yang from Washington Post and conveyed thanks for covering a detailed article. She expressed that there is attention being drawn by many quarters including political for "Skilled LEGAL Immigrants".
Also we need to emphasize & communicate is the "increased fees" (almost doubled in many cases) for all USCIS services effective end of this month (July 30). Is this the penalty to be legal ?
The rallys and campaigns should emphasize this important detail too. This is huge money and not fair to the amount of service that is being currently provided.

H-1B visas are a relatively swift path to employment for foreigners with bachelor's degrees and U.S. employers to sponsor them. Each year, the U.S. government makes 65,000 H-1B visas available to qualified individuals on a first-come basis. The cap has been reached every year for the last several years, and for fiscal year 2008, it was reached on the first day of filing. If you are considering working for Sharper Impressions painting... don't. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. They prey on those who don't have the money or the resources to fight them. They are not fair to their subcontractors. They sub out all of their work and screw most of them. They just know that another "sucker" will come around. They have "offices" in Columbus, Ohio, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Nashville, Colorado, Chicago, and Atlanta. I encourage you to not deal or work with them. Type in "Sharper Impressions Rip Off" and see what you come up with.

I just missed 120-90 day window for filing EAD. My EAD expires on oct 12 and today is July 12TH.
Other stats:
Have H1B active with current employer till Feb 2009
Just got my priority date current - EB2 July 2004 for India
I-140 approved, I-485 and I-140 filed last year receipt date Sept 2007
Questions:
How can I get new EAd now?
I can continune working on H1B correct?
Any impact on my 485 application that now will process due to PD being current?
PLEASE HELP. I am confused and worried a bit.
