If you're going to fudge the truth, you would think she would pick something tough to refute. From the Arizona Republic: Gov. Jan Brewer said in a recent interview that her father died fighting Nazi Germany. In fact, the death of Wilford Drinkwine came 10 years after World War II had ended. During the war, Drinkwine worked as a civilian supervisor for a naval munitions depot in Hawthorne, Nev. He died of lung disease in 1955 in California.

Hi,

Does 5% salary reduction require an amendment even though the salary is still much higher than the prevailing wage? I have been on a reduced salary for a year and about to get a visa stamp. Everybody says something different on this issue. I am just worried that this will cause problems in the consulate. I don't even know how the consular officers actually figure someones annual salary from their pay stubs. Should i just go and act like everything is normal and not mention about the reduction? Because it makes such a little difference in every paycheck. Please help me out on this issue. Nobody responded my previous post. I am very stressed out.

My company recently moved offices to a new location just a few miles from the old location. Its in an adjacent county but with in the same state. We moved from Northbrook, IL to Deerfield IL, does this warrant a change in LCA/H1B?

With a newborn at home, this was a crucial decision for me, if I used EAD (with same employer) I could work minimum hours like 10-20 hours a week. I just wanted to be sure that at the time of GC processing, my less hours worked shd not be taken as an objection.

I just received my initial EAD and it is only valid for 1 year. My priority date is October 2006. Shouldn�t I have received an EAD valid for 2 years?

is your case eb2 or eb3? what nationality are you from? if you are eb2 india, then it could potentially mean that you might get GC within one year...

This is a huge deal and immigration laws in dozens of states could be deemed to violate the Constitution. Arizona's 2007 law allows the state to revoke a company's business license if it is found to have employed illegally present immigrants and mandates all employers in the state use E-Verify. The law was upheld by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, but a similar law in Oklahoma was largely overturned by the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Silvergate did academic evaluation for me for my I-140 and they did an excellent job on my case which i needed rushed and they gave me efficient next day processing. I had contacted other evaluation services first who would take longer and were more expensive. I definitely recommend them.

I am on H1 and working at client place, my parents visited few months back. Some of my friends(who are at client place) in-laws/parents also visited. As long as you produce documents specified, there wont be any prblm with visitor visa.

Hi I'm a US citizen and have around 15k or less credit card debt. All government loans were paid off. Something happened three and a half years ago in my home town and I had to leave Washington state and took care of it. So my question is: it's has been 3 and a half year and I'm heading back to washington state for short visit.
1. I'm sure the debt did gall into collection agency. Will it go to court?
2. Since I had been gone since 2007 and will there be a warrant on me since I didn't appear to court (if there was one)
3. I will be entering Vancouver bc airport then to Seattle by driving. I'm afraid I will get caught for warrant at the border.

Hopefully someone can answer my questions and thanks for the help in advance.

Hi All,

I fulfill the requirements of AC 21 (485 pending for more then 2 years and I 140 approved long back)
My current project is not my employer's client. There is one middle vendor from which I have got this project.
Now, I have heard that many consulting companies make you sign a contract which states that any client you find becomes their client and therefore forbidding you to join them directly. As we usually dont see papers while signing I am not sure if I did sign any such thing. My question is, if my employer sues me on this clause, does it hamper my I-485 processing? Any input in this context would be highly appreciated.Tension is killing me

Folks,
If your petition has been physically "Mailed" to the Atlanta Service center . Do they give you a tracking number . Can such cases be viewed online on the website http://www.plc.doleta.gov ? How much time does the Atlanta service center take to acknowledge the reciept of such application ?

I was laid off in early April, and the employer told me that they would revoke my H1B 30 days later (early May).

Now finally I get a job offer. The new employer can start to work on my h1b now, but the starting date will be late July.

I have an EAD right now based on my approved 140 and pending 485 (>=180days)

I talked with my attorney, and he said I would definitely have to go back to re-activate my H1B abroad, so I should use EAD instead of doing H1B.

Is it true that I have to go abroad to re-activate my h1B? I saw some people transferred sucessfully

Any thoughts? Thank you very much.
